アレキサンダー・ポープ名言

アレキサンダー・ポープ Alexander Pope(1688 – 1744)

イギリスのオーガスタン時代 を代表する詩人。病弱だったため正規の学校教育は受けていないが、独学で古典文学や英文学を学び、幼少の頃から詩作に励んでいた。代表作のひとつ『批評論』は20歳のときの作品。

主な著書は、『髪盗人』『人間論』『愚物列伝』など。
