マヤ・アンジェロウ Maya Angelou (1928~)

アメリカを代表する黒人女性詩人、作家。黒人公民権運動で積極的に活動した人権運動家でもある。1969年に発表した自伝『歌え、翔べない鳥たちよ』はベストセラーとなり、1970年の「全米図書賞」にノミネートされた。
